Born in Norfolk in 1934, local artist Tony Thompson has been oil painting for 40 years. Much of his art is influenced by his love of the surrounding Norfolk landscape.

After leaving school in 1950 he spent seven years in the Royal Navy on national service, on completion he returned to Norfolk and began painting.

As you look through the online gallery you will find his work is heavily influenced by the traditional Norwich School artists such as Cotman, Munnings and more recently impressionists Ian Houston and Edward Seago.
